Do i have a high chance for schizophrenia?
You do have a higher risk for developing schizophrenia, but schizophrenia does not mean that one is "crazy" or "insane" and it is insensitive to assume or say that. With medication and therapy, the symptoms can be managed and some are even unnoticeable. One could lead a normal, productive life (while on medication). It also depends on the severity of the disease. Schizophrenia usually develops during the early twenties. It is not just "hearing voices." People who have the disease are sick and need help--just like someone with cancer or a broken leg. It is an illness of the mind.
